Sriman Anand Kumar Ji, the pioneer of Akrishan Varna Foundation established this with a simple yet profound mission: to spread the eternal wisdom of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and revive the Sanatan Vedic culture across the globe. As the world moves into an age of high-tech advancements and growing unrest, the timeless teachings of Lord Sri Krishna offer a path to peace, harmony, and spiritual enlightenment. AVF carries this torch forward by serving as a beacon of ancient wisdom in modern times.
Our mission is to spread the timeless teachings of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, fostering peace, harmony, and spiritual knowledge through service, education, and projects that serve humanity and protect cows. Guided by compassion, we selflessly uplift communities and provide care to those in need. With integrity, we embody the Gita’s teachings in all actions, envisioning a world aligned with spiritual principles, inner peace, and universal harmony.
Our foundation is deeply inspired by the teachings of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and the life of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who more than 525 years ago reawakened the devotional spirit in Bharat (India). We are part of the Hare Krishna movement that Sri Mahaprabhu started, driven by his desire to see every living being return to Godhead. This mission continues today through AVF, as we strive to help people align their lives with these divine teachings, fostering inner fulfillment and societal harmony.
At AVF, our core values are rooted in the ancient Sanatan Vedic principles of service, hospitality, and compassion. We believe that spirituality should guide human interaction, and that selfless service is the highest expression of love. Our efforts focus on helping individuals live in harmony with themselves, others, and nature by embracing the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
AVF is committed to ensuring that the Sadhus in the sacred regions of Vrindavan, Goverdhan, and Mathura, who devote their lives to Sanatan Vedic culture, receive the care and support they need. Many of these spiritual leaders are elderly and face physical challenges in their service. We take responsibility for providing medical care, nutrition, and clothing so that they can continue their vital work of spreading peace and harmony. We also commit to educating the broader public, offering them the tools to live a life guided by Vedic wisdom.
Spreading Knowledge: We organize spiritual seminars, online courses, and distribute literature based on the Bhagavad Gita to make Vedic wisdom accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or location.
Caring for Sadhus: We provide critical support to the Sadhus of Vrindavan and its surrounding areas, including medical treatment, nutrition, and other essential services. By supporting these dedicated spiritual leaders, we ensure the continued preservation of the Vedic culture.
